When I first created the Electric Feather I had no idea that it would spark so much interest. For the first time I decided that I should try making further iterations…aka, creating a “guitar model”.

A Walk in the Woods was the next one. Inspired by the client’s alpine home, I thought to evoke the forest, through a wash paper incorporating leaves on the back of the soundboard, and grass-like bamboo in the neck.

This version utilizes a Canadian white spruce soundboard, a douglas-fir body core, and ziricote for the fretboard, leg-rest, and bridge. As with the original, there is a thin-film soundboard transducer in combination with an undersaddle pickup to provide a unique and very acoustic-sounding output.
